2. Hosting and Cloudflare

We host our website with Cloudflare. The provider is Cloudflare Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (hereinafter Cloudflare).

Cloudflare offers a globally distributed content delivery network with DNS. Technically, the information transfer between your browser and our website is routed via the Cloudflare network. The use of Cloudflare is based on our legitimate interest in providing our web offering as error-free and securely as possible (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

3. User Accounts and Data Storage

When you register on our platform, we store your provided data (name, email address) as well as your created projects, configurations, and planning data. This data is securely stored in a Cloudflare D1 database (within the EU/Switzerland). The processing of this data is based on Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR.

4. Cookies, Local Storage, and Authentication

We use so-called session cookies (via Better-Auth) exclusively for authentication to identify you as a logged-in user and to associate your projects. These cookies are technically necessary and therefore do not require explicit consent. No third-party tracking cookies (like Google Analytics or Meta) are used.

In addition, our application utilizes your browser's Local Storage and IndexedDB to save your project state and ensure offline functionality.

5. Customer Feedback System (Quackback)

We use the self-hosted feedback platform "Quackback" to collect feature requests and bug reports. When you interact with the feedback widget while logged into SmartWire Studio, your name, email address, and account tier are transmitted to our self-hosted instance (feedback.octavehervine.ch). This is done exclusively to associate your feedback with your account and inform product development based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

6. Your Rights
