General Information
The following notes provide a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit this website. Personal data is all data with which you can be personally identified.
Data Collection on this Website
Who is responsible for the data collection on this website?
The data processing on this website is carried out by the website operator. You can find their contact details in the Legal Notice (Impressum) of this website.
How do we collect your data?
On the one hand, your data is collected by you communicating it to us. This may, for example, be data that you enter when registering an account (e-mail address, name). Other data is collected automatically or after your consent when you visit the website by our IT systems. These are primarily technical data (e.g., internet browser, operating system, or time of the page request).
2. Hosting and Cloudflare
We host our website with Cloudflare. The provider is Cloudflare Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (hereinafter Cloudflare).
Cloudflare offers a globally distributed content delivery network with DNS. Technically, the information transfer between your browser and our website is routed via the Cloudflare network. This enables Cloudflare to analyze traffic between users and our websites and to act as a filter between our servers and potentially malicious traffic from the Internet. The use of Cloudflare is based on our legitimate interest in providing our web offering as error-free and securely as possible (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
3. User Accounts and Data Storage
When you register on our platform, we store your provided data (name, email address) as well as your created projects, configurations, and planning data. This data is securely stored in a Cloudflare D1 database (within the EU/Switzerland). The processing of this data is based on Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, as it is necessary for the fulfillment of the user agreement of the web application (SmartWire Studio).
4. Cookies and Authentication
We use so-called session cookies (via Better-Auth) exclusively for authentication to identify you as a logged-in user and to associate your projects. These cookies are technically necessary and therefore do not require explicit consent. No third-party tracking cookies (like Google Analytics) are used.
5. Your Rights
You have the right at any time to receive information free of charge about the origin, recipient, and purpose of your stored personal data. You also have the right to request the correction or deletion of this data. If you have given your consent to data processing, you can revoke this consent at any time for the future. You can contact us at any time regarding this and other questions on the subject of data protection.
